sedbergh school cricket.pngCumbria will play a showcase game against Lancashire on Tuesday, July 20.

Covid restrictions permitting the match will be played in Cumbria three days before Lancashire are due to play in the Royal London 50-overs competition.

It has been announced that the game will be played at Sedbergh School(pictured above), and both clubs are hoping that the season will be well underway at that stage of the summer.

Cumbria are due to play their opening game in the National Counties T20 competition on April 18 against Northumberland at Netherfield.

Lancashire should start their County Championship programme on April 8 away to Sussex, who will actually be their visitors on July 23 in the Royal London.

At this point in time both Cumbria and Lancashire are working to those time-lines but it seems unlikely that they will be clear to go by April.

Sedbergh School had proved a popular venue for Cumberland's Minor Counties fixtures while Lancashire have also used the ground before to play a County Championship game.
