northside v salterbeck.pngTHE President’s Cup final in the Workington and District Sunday League will be contested by Pack Horse and Northside.

They will line-up against each other at Borough Park in the final on Thursday, May 27.

In today’s semi-finals Pack Horse had a hard-fought 3-1 win over Blue Bell while Northside found things a bit easier against Salterbeck, coming through 6-0.

Kyle Graham (2)and Matt Perry scored for the Seaton side with Cody Benson replying for Blue Bell.

Tommy Whitehead grabbed a couple for Northside and also on target were Tony Berwick, Jamie Bramley, Jamie Glover and Josh Charlton.

There was only one Premier Division game in which Mike Graham, Luke Graham and Louis Pickering eased Deer Orchard to a 3-0 win at Grapes.

It’s getting interesting in League One with three teams very closely grouped at the top.

Maryport Labour Club have 18 points from nine games; Dearham have 17 from eight while Glasson Gardeners have 15 points from seven.pack horse v blue bell.png

All three won their matches today away from home in three excellent games.

Labour Club triumphed 3-2 at Highfield with goals from Cameron Harker (2) and David Miller. Paul Brown and Keith Skillen were on the mark for the hosts.

Veteran Karl  Fillingham simply can’t stop scoring. He grabbed all four as

Glasson Gardeners won a thriller, 4-3 at Sun Inn Athletic.

Mark Campbell (2) and Stephen Wilson were the scorers for the Aspatria side.

Finally Dearham were 4-2 winners at Flimby Social Club with goals from Jack Dunstan (2), Craig Rule and Jason Ackerley.
