glossop north end.pngWorkington are still waiting for their first home draw of the season after pulling a fourth successive away trip.

Reds will travel to Glossop North End on Saturday, October 31 in the latest qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

So far they have been drawn at Knaresborough and Radcliffe in the FA Cup and at Pontefract Collieries in the FA Trophy.

Reds progress in the FA Trophy does mean that their big League game at Ramsbottom on October 31 will now have to be re-arranged.

Glossop only got through to this stage of the competition because they were drawn against Droylsden and were awarded a walk-over as the Manchester side have since pulled-out of the League and hence the competition.

North End have made a poor start to the NPL SE campaign and currently lie 16th of the 20 clubs with only one win so far. They were beaten 3-0 at home by City of Liverpool in the FA Cup.

So very much a game which Workington should win but there are two important League games ahead for Danny Grainger’s men as they host Clitheroe tomorrow and travel to Ossett United on Saturday.

Workington played Glossop at the same stage three years ago and drew 0-0 before winning the replay 5-1 at Borough Park.

The ties in the northern section of the draw are as follows:

FV United of Manchester v Marske United

Atherton Collieries v City of Liverpool

Hyde United v Frickley Athletic

Warrington Town v Lancaster City

Kendal Town v Buxton

Ashton Utd v Clitheroe

Radcliffe v Bamber Bridge

Scarborough Athletic v Witton Albion

Pickering Town v Runcorn Linnets

Marine v Stalybridge Celtic

Glossop North End v Workington

South Shields v Colne

Morpeth Town v Whitby Town

Newcastle Town v Nuneaton Borough
