alan blacklock lumber.pngThere was a solid turn-out of 106 runners for the second Saturday meeting of the delayed HTA season.

Potter’s Park staged the event and all of the trails were well contested, although they did produce some convincing winners.

The opening senior trail, however, was a thriller with Alan Blacklock’s Kimber just getting up to beat Monday’s winner Best Mate by half a length.

There was a bunched finish to the pups and it was Denise Bland’s Jenny’s Quest who got the verdict over two from the Foxparke kennel of Nicola Napier.

Nicola also had to settle for second in the open maidens with Foxparke Parma Violet but the winner, John, Christine and Debbie McGee’s Nashville was well clear.

Billy Birkett’s General James was also a comfortable winner of the open restricted, opening-up a handy lead.

The afternoon’s entertainment was brought to a close by the veterans and Thorn Fire was a confident winner for Joanna Satterthwaite and family.billy birkett general james.png
