blue blaze.pngTHERE were no problem second time round as Cold Fell hosted 72 hounds for a four-trail meeting.

The first two races provided the Patterdale kennel of Jenny Bland with a double as she won the seniors and pups.

Huntsman’s Nimrod seemed to be coming home a comfortable winner until Acord produced a strong finish and just failed by two lengths to peg back the lead.

Kennel-mate Jenny’s Quest had a bit more to spare in the pups and won well from McBeth and Canny Style.

Biggest field of the night (24) contested the open maidens and it proved a good race before Blue Blaze scrambled home to beat Zulu by a short head.

Twenty maidens were slipped  for the final trail of the night and it produced a win for New Agenda from Queen.
