dearham trail.pngMiterdale Shadow, runner-up in last season’s HTA senior championship, is an early candidate to go one better this time round.

Sophie Steele’s charge won for the fourth time last night, improving from a sixth place finish at Dearham on Tuesday night.

This time there was no mistake and won easily from Acorn, the 2019 puppy champion. Silver Dusk, who had been third on Tuesday, occupied the same position while Babycham slipped from second to fifth.

Darren McMaster’s Silver Dancer had a terrific battle with kennel-mate Silver Mist before edging the puppy trail by a head for her third win of the season to lead the junior table. They had finished first and second over the course on Tuesday.

In the open restricted Caroline Clough’s Copperfield came away nicely to win from Solitaire and Best Mate.copperfield caroline clough.png

In the veterans young Molly Burrow was cheering again when Thorn Dancer held on grimly to hold-off the fast finishing McCoy.

The programme resumes tomorrow at New House, Lorton H, P, OM, V (5.00).
