helton action.pngOver 100 hounds contested the five-trail meeting at Helton Fell on Sunday.

Senior table leader Miterdale Shadow could only manage third place behind Huntsman’s Nimrod who had a couple of lengths to spare over nearest rival Cuckoo Lane.

The maidens had 16 runners and it was Trev who showed a great turn of speed to win, coming from fifth on the finish to beat Canny Mover by half a length for Tania Satterthwaite.

In the pups the other current table leader Silver Dancer had also to settle for third as Young Harry beat Wait ‘n See by half a length.

There was a good finish to the open non-winners but was Bretton who was in front at the tape, beating Tremor by a length.

Biggest field of the day (28) was for the all-in and Adele hit all the right notes to beat New Agenda.
