acorn.pngAt Lorton on Saturday the 2019 puppy champion, Reg Smith’s Acorn had her first senior win.

It was a good battle, too, but she got home ahead of Kinniside Mick to win by a length.

The pups was even tighter when five showed with a chance and in a desperate finish Kinniside Sandy just had half a length on the fast finishing Overwater Louise.

There were 22 for the open maidens and Foxparke Rambling Rose came in two lengths in front of Superstar.

There was a terrific finish to the veterans with Jenny’s Delight and Thorn Fire battliong all the way to the line. Jenny’s Delight got the verdict by a head.
