hounds slip.pngPotter’s Park staged the HTA’s second Championship meeting of the delayed season tonight with a healthy entry of 84 hounds for the three trails.

Probably the most eye-catching performance came in the pups where Young Harry put in a fine driving performance, leading all the way to beat Jenny’s Quest by a length for Brian Graham and Julie Burkinshaw.

There had been consolation for the Bland’s Patterdale kennel when Jenny’s Aura took the senior trail by about five yards from Acorn, who had also been second in the opening Championship trail at Wardhall on Saturday.

There were 37 entered for the open maidens and John, Christine and Debbie McGee had the winner in Apache.

The Championship continues on Wednesday when Wardhall stages its second meeting of the season - H, P, OR, AI (6.00, 7.15, 7.45, 8.15).
